Episode 12 | Colonial Knitting

The next Socks-for-Mum podcast has been uploaded.

In this episode I show my newly finished Diamond Fizz Shawl and I chatter about the Fern and Feather sweater.  There is a prize draw.  I share a little bit about knitting in Colonial times – yep, I have finally started my research on for the dreaded History of Knitting paper I must write for Master Knitting Level 2.

  1. Love the colonial knitting history this morning. My 7 yo and 5 yo grandsons may enjoy knitting a few stitches on their mother’s knitting projects but not as an essential requirement of the day.

I need to make a list of UFOs and possibly join your group. The only two I can recall at this moment are a sock and a shawl and I’m working on the sock as I write this.

Hope you have a blessed day! Love listening to your podcasts first thing in the morning.

    • Awww…thanks! Perhaps your grandsons would have preferred spinning on a drop spindle as they watched over the sheep – that was another duty I forgot to mention. Xx
